HARRISBURG -- Rep. Martina White (R-Philadelphia) was sworn in today to serve the people of the 170th District in Northeast Philadelphia in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. She is serving her second full term after winning a special election in 2015.
“I am honored that the people of Northeast Philadelphia have voted to give me another term to continue fighting for the working families of our communities,” White said. “That means fighting for high-quality schools, better-paying jobs and improved public safety.”
In the previous term, White fought to secure record funding for Pennsylvania schools without raising personal income or sales taxes. She also continued her fight to protect our police officers and to hold city officials responsible for their reckless sanctuary city policies.
In the new session, White will continue her fight for responsible governance by holding state officials responsible for how they spend our tax dollars.
White was first elected in a March 24, 2015, special election. Prior to taking office, White was a financial adviser.
